Sean Shields, West Chester University
Current Position: Intramural Official
Years Working in Campus Recreation: 3.5
Major: Early Grades Preparation (PK-4)
Why Sean is Interested in the Student State Representative Position:
"Before I tell you why I am nominating myself to become the next PIRSA State Student Leader, I would like to share a bit about myself. My name is Sean Shields, I attend West Chester University studying to become an elementary school teacher. Throughout my time at West Chester, I have held executive board positions in the many clubs/organizations I am a part of on campus. Since the start of my freshman year, I started working for my school’s Campus Recreation under Intramural’s and I have continued to work for Intramural's throughout my student career. I like to think of myself as a hardworking individual that will put in 110% and do whatever it takes to complete a job successfully and on time. To me, a great leader is not someone who never makes mistakes, but someone who is willing to take chances and do what is right, regardless of the outcome."
