2025 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Election for the 2025-2027 Pennsylvania (PIRSA) Leadership Team is now open. It will close at Noon on Friday, February 7th. Each member is permitted one ballot. The first ballot casted will be the official ballot.
The Student State Representative is a 1-year term. All other positions will be a 2-year term. The current PIRSA Leadership Team plans to begin transitioning the elected team members around May 2025.
Results will be counted by Pete Vincent (President) and Gerard Morgan (Vice President).

Position Descriptions
President - Shall preside at all meetings, enforce bylaws and regulations of the association and shall carry out the will of the members. The director shall appoint all committees, and the state workshop coordinator. The state director shall oversee all newsletter content and work with the executive committee on all financial matters.
Vice President - They shall assume duties of the President/State Director in his/her absence and in the event of an unexpired term being vacated by the director. The Vice President shall assist in the coordination of the state workshop, is responsible for the monthly newsletter, and oversee all committees within PIRSA.
Treasurer - Shall maintain all financial transactions and records for all extramural, state workshops, and PIRSA related events/expenses. The treasurer shall assume the duties of the vice-president in his/her absence and shall succeed in the position of director in the event that an unexpired term cannot be completed by the director and/or assistant director.
Secretary - Shall keep minutes of all meetings and maintain an updated mailing list of all members. The secretary shall be responsible for all PIRSA leadership team social media posts. In the event the secretary assumes another officers unexpired term during the first year, a replacement secretary shall be elected at the next state business meeting to fill the remainder of the unexpired term. A second year vacancy shall go unfilled.
Extramural Chair - Will oversee the Extramural Committee which is comprised of 5-10 members throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The Extramural Chair will conduct bi-weekly meetings with the committee to develop, plan, organize and implement extramural events throughout PIRSA.
These may include virtual and in person events.
Member Engagement Chair - Will oversee the Member Engagement committee which is comprised of 5-10 members. The chairperson will conduct bi-weekly meetings with the committee in order to generate ideas to keep our state engaged either virtually or in person.
