Cody Seachrist, York College of Pennsylvania
Title: Assistant Director of Campus Recreation
Years in Current Position: 2
Years as a NIRSA Member: 4
Years in Collegiate Recreation: 4
Statement:
I am interested in joining the PIRSA Leadership team because of the energy and steps taken demonstrated by the current PIRSA Leaders. They have worked extremely hard to build a strong connection through the state and this has been highlighted even further through all of the work and efforts put toward engaging through panels and workshops virtually since COVID started. This helped me and I know it has helped so many during these tedious times. PIRSA has continued to grow and it has been great to work with these leaders and many others during my time in PIRSA. I joined the PIRSA Extramural Committee during the Fall of 2019 because I wanted to do more to help out PIRSA and to also grow as a professional. Being a part of the Flag Football Tournament that Fall at Millersville University was an awesome experience and it has been fulfilling to work with that committee to continue to help program through COVID-19 and to develop even bigger plans for the Fall/Post-COVID-19! I want to continue to develop as a professional within PIRSA and to assist the Leadership team in connecting with more members and impacting the member institutions of Pennsylvania.
